Allison VanKirk: Acro Arts
Allison began dancing when she was 5 years old and spent the 90s dancing and competing in Atlanta. She trained in all styles but loved acro the most. Some highlights over the years include dancing in the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Paralympics, studying and performing at the renown Atlanta Workshop Players performing arts camp, dancing on her high school and college dance teams, coaching gymnastics, and teaching acro at local dance intensives. With a dance background and over 25 years experience coaching and teaching preschool children to young adults, she is passionate about helping students connect their strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills to the heart and soul of dance. Allison is looking forward to another great year of acro arts at BLDC this year!
